silly pink bunnies.

so, a friend shared with me the works of a group of artists known as Gelitin. I was interested in a giant-sized knit and stuffed pink bunny plopped down in the middle of the Italian Alps. It is so large that google maps has it documented from outerspace.

After sharing these images with another friend, we soon realized that pink bunnies are everywhere.

. silly pink bunnies.
. the energizer bunny.
. the boy dressed as a pink bunny in Gummo.
. the easter bunny.
. pink bunny peeps (sugary candy marshmallows).
. the playboy bunny silhouette (sometimes in pink glitter on black hotpants.)
. pink rabbit (the name of a crazy looking dildo.)
. oh, and this girl:

Now I am most curious, what does the pink bunny symbolize? All that I can gather so far is that the pink bunny is connected to sexuality, fertility (one doe can produce 42 young a year), excess, Jesus's second coming, and possibly Lewis Carroll's "down the rabbit-hole" syndrome (connecting to Freudian dream-states). If you have any more ideas, let me know.
